Surrounding area and activities
Montbrió del Camp is a town of nearly 3,000 people, located between the Costa Dorada and the Pre-Coastal Mountain Range, with mild temperatures year-round. Its strategic location makes it possible to enjoy a wide variety of activities in a very beautiful natural setting.
Hotel Sant Jordi is the perfect departure point for routes and excursions, cycling tourism, cultural visits and to enjoy the local gastronomy.
Well-versed in the local area, at our reception we will personally inform you about the activities best suited to you.
Here are some of our proposals for unforgettable memories:
Roman Tarragona
Roman Tarragona: travel back in time. The proximity of Tarragona makes it possible to travel back in time and see first-hand the vestiges and importance of Imperial Tarraco, with its well-preserved seaside amphitheatre. The city, a World Heritage Site, exudes history from every corner and also offers beaches, good shopping and the exceptional gastronomy of the seaside district of El Serrallo.
Reus and modernism
Reus is a city of geniuses and ingenuity. The Reus Modernist route is an extraordinary example of the power this city held in the early 20th century, thanks to the strength of its industrial and commercial sectors. Take a stroll and discover authentic treasures of modernist architecture, such as the Navàs House, the Serra House, the Marco House, the Gasull House and the Pere Mata Institute, among others.
Costa Dorada
The Costa Dorada is characterised by calm waters and quality beaches. Cambrils and Salou beaches are the closest to Hotel Sant Jordi. Their fine sand and calm, shallow waters make them ideal places to enjoy the sea and sun with the family. They have been awarded the European Union’s Blue Flag for their great natural quality and the services they offer. We highly recommend boat trips, which allow you to discover the Costa Dorada from another perspective.
Parc Samà
Parc Samà, located in Cambrils, is a modernist garden of great botanical richness, designed by Joan Fontserè, in cooperation with Antoni Gaudí and his brilliant way of blending nature with architecture.
Golf at Bonmont
Any fan of this sport must play a round of golf at Bonmont. This course has been praised by professional players on an international level. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., one of the world’s most renowned golf course architects. It is a pleasant 18-hole par-72 golf course that also has a Pitch & Putt.
Walking excursions
The flat terrain in the area makes it very comfortable to do some of the walking excursions starting from and ending at Montbrió del Camp, with a low level of difficulty and beautiful landscapes. There is a lot to discover: Riudecanyes and its Riudoms marsh, Mont-roig del Camp and much more.
Escornalbou castle, in Riudecanyes, is a large mansion rebuilt in the early 20th century on top of the ruins of Sant Miquel Monastery and an ancient castle. Some parts of the original architectural complex are still standing, mainly the church and cloister, and these have been converted into a garden vantage point, with the best panoramic views of the Tarragona region.
Cycling tourism in Baix Camp
Cycling tourism in Baix Camp is a highly recommended activity for anyone, regardless of their physical condition. There are demanding bicycle routes for a great day of sports on your mountain bike and other easier trails for tourism or leisurely bike rides.
Gastronomy and Wine Tourism
Between the sea and the mountains, the Baix Camp region offers a gastronomy rich in products of excellent quality, such as fish, rice, oil, vegetables, nuts and wine. Montbrió del Camp has several restaurants where you can sample all of this variety. And we mustn’t forget the options available in the nearby seaside town of Cambrils or the Priorat and Montsant wineries with their famous wines with designation of origin.
Port Aventura
Our establishment is located 15 minutes from Port Aventura, Ferrari Land and Caribe Aquatic Park. The three parks are in the same complex where you can have fun with friends and family. There’s nothing like relaxing in our establishments after an exciting day.
Ebro Delta
The Ebro Delta is full of colour, flavour, scents and life. Getting lost in it is a wonderful way to find yourself. With Trabucador beach, its rice paddies, Buda Island and its gastronomy, everything is a pleasure for the senses. It is the wettest area in Catalonia and the most important aquatic habitat in the Western Mediterranean.
